Scope of Works:
• Abrasive cleaning of existing paint coating by Sponge Jet Blasting method and re-priming ready to receive final paint coating.

Project Description:
Doosan Babcock contacted us for specialist paint removal works on their HAV project at Sellafield Nuclear Power Station. Working within the nuclear power station on a live site brings its own complications but when required to carry out abrasive blast cleaning further operational and health and safety complications arise.
As certified contractors for Sponge Jet Blasting (a unique dustless blast cleaning technology), we were asked to remove the rust and paint from these staircases to allow the application of new paint coatings. The works were carried out on night shifts allowing normal construction operations during the day.
